Teach adults seeking help with learning computer skills, social media, email, software, or different apps in a classroom setting.
We have been working with libraries and education partners to offer a helping hand to community members who do not have consistent access and familiarity with digital technology. Our mission is to help our community gain confidence and understanding of online and software resources. Our customers become better informed and better connected with our help. We currently have digital volunteers in over 20 community locations and we continue to expand annually.
The traveling tech program will rotate weekly between the locations listed below:
Salvation Army 12-2pm
Ferris Hill 3-5pm
Quail Summit 3-5pm
80 Parrish St 3-5pm
2 Shifts

12:00 PM to 02:00 PM EST
This volunteer opportunity will be a traveling Tech. We are looking for volunteers who can cover 1 shift per month on a Thursday from 12pm-2pm

03:00 PM to 05:00 PM EST
This volunteer opportunity will be a traveling Tech. We are looking for volunteers who are available every Wednesday between 3pm-5pm.

With a small staff and over 300 trained volunteers, Literacy Rochester improves the reading, English language, math, and digital literacy skills of adults in Monroe County. Our trained volunteers support participants in achieving their personal goals to fully engage in their community as citizens, parents, consumers, and workers.
Description
LR, Inc. is a non-profit with a modest budget and large vision. We have a small staff and over 300 volunteers. We have an on-going need for English language tutors, Math instructors, and Digital (computer-skilled) volunteers, librarians, and administrative support volunteers.
