Help us combat food insecurity in Mountain View! CSA is seeking a volunteer driver to help pick up food donations weekly on Wednesdays.
Reports to: Food and Nutrition Center Program Director, LaDrea.
Program: Food and Nutrition Center Program (FNC)
Program Description: The Food and Nutrition Center is a program at CSA aimed at addressing food insecurity and providing essential food nutrition services to families in need in the community.
Basic Volunteer Function: Volunteer drivers help pick up food donations from local markets and unload food at CSA. Volunteers use CSA’s vans for transportation.
Time Commitment: once a week for 3-6 months, hours vary from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, Wednesdays

- Cranberry Scoop: 295 State St, Los Altos, CA 94022
Volunteer task/role:
As a volunteer driver, you will be responsible for picking up donated food from locations and transporting it to the CSA, 204 Stierlin Road in Mountain View. Your duties will include loading and unloading the food donations, as well as helping to weigh food donations. It is important to follow all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record while operating the CSA vehicle. If you are unable to volunteer, please coordinate with the Food and Nutrition Center team.
Qualifications:
- Able to volunteer independently
- Ability to keep confidential information
- Background check and reference required
- Must be 25+
- Self-directed and reliable
- Valid Driver’s License and auto Insurance information
- Able to pick up +35 LBS repetitively
