Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of youth and their families?

Foundation for a College Education is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization making college accessible for more students in East Palo Alto since 1995. We offer free college and academic support to first-generation, low-income students in our community from high school and college.

Our volunteers support our students as tutors, translators, mentors, and senior advisors. Volunteering at FCE is a rewarding experience, as you can see the direct impact of your support in the students’ grades, level of confidence, achievements, and personal growth.

We've helped over 700 students, and we're currently guiding 190+ high school and college students. Notably, 100 % of them have been accepted to college, and 88% of them graduate within six years; this is a graduation rate that exceeds the national average for Black and Latinx students.
