Ascend Hospice of Northern Virginia is seeking friendly, compassionate, loving pets and handlers to volunteer their time delivering much needed love and happiness through pet therapy. All therapy animals (a therapy pet is not limited to only dogs) must be certified as therapy animals, will need proof of vaccinations and proof of licensing. Stress, anxiety and depression are conditions that our patients and families struggle with daily, if you an your best friend are ready to make new friends we ask you to please help us support our patients and their families during this crucial time in their lives. Ascend Hospice provides training, orientation, and assistance to help support you during your time working with hospice patients.
