Assist New Jersey Audubon by making simple costumes for outreach events. Help New Jersey Audubon with a 2024 Halloween Event at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary in Bernardsville, NJ. New Jersey Audubon needs adult volunteers who are "crafty" and can make simple costumes to be used at a family-oriented Halloween Event in 2024 (and possibly other events going forward). New Jersey Audubon will pay for the materials; however, the volunteer will need to go to the store to purchase them. Volunteers must be able to cut, sew, and glue to make the non-scary animal costumes. Patterns are not commercially available; but there are many Do-It-Yourself (DIY) tutorials on the internet that can be used in lieu of commercial patterns. Most of the work can be done at home, with an occasional check-in at the sanctuary to coordinate and review costumes. The estimated time for 1 costume including buying the materials and making the costume is 1 day. 6 costumes are currently required and can be distributed among the volunteers.
