Do you like spreading the Christmas cheer and help raise money for those who need it most in your community? IF that's you, then this volunteer position is of YOU!
You would be a part of one of The Salvation Army’s oldest Christmas traditions by standing next to the kettle bell and greeting people as they pass by. Our Kettle Stands are located across Vancouver and will operate from 10:00am to 7:00pm on Tuesday to Saturday in 3 hour shifts. Indoor and Outdoor locations are available.
Join the wonderful team of Kettle Bell Ringers and spread the spirit of the season! Thank you for thinking of giving back to your community this season!
Things we would love to see:
▸ Be warm, courteous and approachable - SMILE
▸ Make eye contact and be attentive
▸ Have a joyful attitude and say "Merry Christmas"
▸ After receiving a donation, be grateful and remember to say "Thank you"
▸ Be prepared with handouts
▸ Dress for the weather and dress appropriately
▸ Be punctual to relieve the earlier volunteer
▸ Do not change the area in which the kettle is placed
▸ Do not obstruct the flow of mall traffic
▸ Do not wear headphones or smoke
▸ Do not leave the kettle unattended
▸ Never speak to the media, instead please contact the Kettle Coordinator
