School Field Trip Leader: This role is great for those who enjoy helping youth learn, are patient with young learners, and enjoy speaking in front of groups. The training will allow you to watch a presentation of Pollinator Palooza (the most requested program), review field trip logistics (what are the volunteer tasks from begin to the end of the field trip) and cover the expectations of volunteers in this role and general helping tips (what to do with awkward silences?!). Scheduling is flexible, Tuesday through Friday, and is dependent on requests. Please reply to volunteer@dmbotanicalgarden.com to request more information. To become a volunteer an application form is to be submitted, a background check is required, and training will be scheduled.
