Volunteer with Neighborhood House through our Emergency Food Bank! Through a partnership with Dare to Care, Neighborhood House is able to help families stretch their grocery budgets by providing food boxes and other necessities. Our food bank is open to the public Monday- Friday from 10:00-1:00 PM.

The food pantry is busiest and most in need of volunteers at the beginning of the month, but volunteers are welcome any day Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM!

Volunteers can stock shelves with new items, pack boxes for guests that come in, help guests to their vehicles, and prep additional boxes for the following day.

Individuals and groups welcome!

About Neighborhood House

Location:

201 North 25th St., Louisville, KY 40212, US

Mission Statement

Supporting families by creating a community of opportunity, where together we are: connecting to one another, connecting to resources, breaking down barriers, advocating for change, and investing in futures.

Description

For more than 125 years, Neighborhood House has been a home-away-from-home for families in West Louisville. Founded in 1896 as the first settlement house in Kentucky, Neighborhood House is now a modern community hub for our neighbors, who we call members. With opportunities ranging from the Child Development Center to senior programming, we like to say that we see members "from the twinkle to the wrinkle."
