Are you a friendly person? Do you like to be kind and make someone smile? Then, you should be a Hospice Volunteer!
Hospice Volunteers visit people wherever they live be it their private home, an assisted living facility or a nursing home. Volunteers are there to provide companionship by reading to, playing music for, going outside and chatting with the patient.
Hospice Volunteers are provided with training and go through a screening process to ensure that they are a right fit. Do you work, are retired, or something in between? All are needed. There is opportunity for everyone!
Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Litchfield County provides care for patients in Litchfield County as well as the towns in the Farmington Valley area. Hospice Volunteers can choose the towns in which they want to go.
