Project Overview
Fair Oaks Community Center is a monthly drive-through food distribution program, serving over 280 families. Families drive up to one of the three available stations to be greeted by volunteers ready to load their cars.
Volunteers will support with bagging food, distributing pre-assembled boxes of groceries, cleaning up, and more.
About Fair Oaks Community Center Food Distribution
The Fair Oaks Community Center is a multi-service facility offering a variety of services to the broader Redwood City community. These include breakfast and lunch programs, classes, and other activities. This site is part of the core network of community service agencies of San Mateo County.
Project Requirements & Important Notes
Volunteers should dress according to the weather and wear sturdy, comfortable shoes.
Volunteers are required to wear masks at all times.
Please do your part in keeping our community healthy. If you are immuno-compromised, at increased risk for severe illness, or feeling sick at all, please decline your registration to the event and register for a project at a less risky time. For additional resources and guidance on how to keep yourself healthy, visit the CDC website.
If your group is larger than the listed project maximum, please email sarah@handsonbayarea.org. For a one-time $50 group sign-up fee, we can assist your team with signing up and coordinating with the agency partner for possible accommodation.
