Want to volunteer in the Canon City area? Help others as they near the end of their lives by spending time with a hospice patient. Create a special space for them-- read, review their life history with them, tell bad dad jokes. Write a letter to a loved one for them, help them label old photographs, or just provide a comforting presence. As a Hospice Volunteer you are specially trained to support the patient and family in a variety of ways. You must pass a background check, TB test, and successfully complete orientation.
For more information on how you can make a difference in the life of a hospice patient, call or email CJ Pharr, Volunteer Coordinator at 720-390-1276 or cpharr@coloradophc.com
