The Park CDC is growing a bountiful assortment of fresh, pesticide-free vegetables to be shared with the community, and we are seeking volunteer support for our gardening efforts at Sunset Farm.
We invite you to join us as we plant and care for the produce while also working to make a significant impact in promoting healthy eating and sustainable living. Activities can be any of the following: preparing the soil, planting, tending (weeding, trellising, watering, fertilizing, etc.), harvesting, weighing, packing, and dropping off harvested veg at community partner sites for distribution. You can also help staff veg donation tables to educate people on ways to clean, store, and prepare the veggies.
Your support will not only contribute to the success of our urban garden, but also inspire others to embrace sustainable gardening practices and help us to serve our neighbors in need. Additionally, your involvement will foster connections among fellow farming and gardening enthusiasts and promote a sense of belonging within our community.
