Since 1948, Laradon has empowered children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they can embrace possibility and reach their full potential.

We are looking for volunteers to help keep our participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities safe and out of traffic as they are loading and unloading from their buses.

Here are the services Laradon provides:

The Laradon School The Laradon School has been supporting students ages 5-21 with intellectual and developmental disabilities for over 75 years.Explore Calabrese Youth Center The highest level of individualized care designed to assist youth ages 11-21 to resolve social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.Explore Adult Day Programs Adults 21+ have access to learning opportunities, skill-building activities, and meaningful, social relationships.Explore Employment Programs Laradon’s Employment Programs offer a wide variety of services that are tailored to fit individual employment and community inclusion goals for adults 18+.Explore Community Living Laradon utilizes a vast variety of residential settings to provide support to individuals ages 18+.

Laradon specializes in services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. We operate five programs which are designed to help each individual develop to his or her fullest potential.

Laradon is more than an organization, we are a support network made up of people who care - and are committed to helping people with developmental disabilities maximize their independence in a dynamic world.

Laradon is guided by the vision of its founders, Joseph and Elizabeth Calabrese, that people with disabilities and special needs should have the same rights, privileges and opportunities as people without disabilities. The Calabreses knew that when provided with the proper education, training and supports, people with disabilities could realize their full potential, contribute to the community in their own unique ways and become valued members of society.

That vision still exists. Laradon is the premier provider serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
