Mission Statement

For many, a relatively small life disruption can derail an individual or family into a situation of personal crisis. We aim to #breakthecycle of insecurity by engaging the local community through neighbor to neighbor giving, as well as providing education, resources, and support that can help families and individuals achieve more stable living situations and reach their full potential.

Description

Giving 365 provides resources, support, and educational opportunities for families and individuals struggling with poverty to achieve self-sufficiency and reach their full potential. Our desired outcome is for individuals to have the resources necessary to meet their basic needs, for parents to understand child development and provide a safe and nurturing environment for their families, and for individuals to break the cycle of poverty by achieving their optimal potential. Our programs include a food pantry that provides over 25,000 pounds of food annually to the community, job readiness support, parent education, self-advocacy trainings, financial literacy classes, a summer backpack and school supply giveaway, a Thanksgiving holiday meal donation program, and a holiday gift drive providing children with toys. We are currently developing a one-on-one mentoring program for at-risk youth and youth in foster care as well as a school gardens program.
