Cancer Lifeline Seeking Board Members

Cancer Lifeline is a 50-year-old nonprofit based in Seattle serving those impacted by a cancer diagnosis throughout Western Washington and beyond. Our mission is to optimize the quality of life for people living with cancer. We define those people as patients, survivors, friends, family, caregivers and co-workers. We provide this support through our free programming: telephone Lifeline, Lifeline chat, support groups, educational presentations, classes in nutrition, gentle movement/exercise, and stress management as well as one on one mental health counseling. Cancer Lifeline also provides 'safety-net’ grants to lower income cancer patients with the aim to help them cover some of life’s most basic needs, so they aren’t having to choose between making a copay for their treatment and buying groceries or keeping the heat on.

We are looking for new board members to help us raise our visibility, make new connections, and help guide us as we grow. Board members serve a 3-yr term and meet every other month.
