Grant Writer Intern or Volunteer

Position Overview: Creshendo is seeking a skilled Grant Writer Intern or Volunteer to play a pivotal role in securing funding for our diverse range of programs and initiatives. Working closely with our dynamic fundraising team, you will be instrumental in researching, drafting, and submitting grant proposals to various foundations, organizations, and government agencies. Our 501(c)(3) status is currently pending and can be approved any second. We're therefore looking for someone who can research relevant grants, get our organization on certain grant platforms, and prepare mock drafts so that we can submit grant applications as soon as we're registered.

Work Culture: Embrace the startup spirit! At Creshendo, we're in the process of building our team and are excited to offer flexible roles and hours. If you're someone who values innovation, creativity, autonomy, and thrives on delivering impactful results, all while contributing to a global cause, then this opportunity is tailor-made for you! Note: We encourage the use of ChatGPT, but we ask that you review your writings to ensure that what you submit is written in the appropriate tone and with relevant information to our organization and its goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Research potential national and international grant opportunities and identify funding sources aligned with our mission.
  • Develop compelling, well-structured grant proposals that meet all requirements.
  • Collaborate with program leads to gather information and data essential for proposal creation.
  • Maintain a comprehensive grant proposal calendar to track submission deadlines.
  • Prepare supporting documents, budgets, and attachments for grant applications.
  • Establish effective communication channels with grantors and funding organizations as required.
  • Monitor and report on the status of grant applications.
  • Stay abreast of grant-related trends, best practices, and emerging opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft persuasive and coherent grant proposals.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Excellent research capabilities.
  • Basic understanding of nonprofit fundraising and grant-seeking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Commitment to dedicating at least 10 hours per week.

How to Apply: To be part of this impactful journey, please send your resume, availability, time zone, and a brief paragraph outlining your interest in the role to info@creshendo.org.

Creshendo extends a warm welcome to volunteers from all backgrounds. Upon completion of your volunteering term, we are pleased to provide a certificate of completion and/or craft a recommendation letter based on your performance.
