Advanced Hospice Volunteer Certification is a free service-learning program which provides an introduction to hospice care through education, training and hands-on experience provided by the Volunteer Coordinator through Elara Caring Hospice in our Newburyport, MA office.
This is a win-win-win opportunity:
You will learn about end-of-life care through our comprehensive training program and real life experience as a volunteer to hospice patients at home and in facilities. You will be well supported by the Volunteer Coordinator throughout this program.
Our hospice patients/families/program will benefit from your companionship, kindness and time.
The AHVCertification is a great addition to your resume and is valued by educational institutions and employers. More importantly, your experience and the difference YOU make will stay with you for a very long time.

Complete new volunteer paperwork, orientation and training
Provide 40 hours of service learning from at least 2 of our volunteer categories
