Your compassion can greatly enhance the life of a hospice patient. Whether you are a retiree wanting to give back to your community, a student interested in learning, or an individual with an empathic heart, we invite you to join our team of hospice volunteers. There are many ways to provide comfort as a volunteer such as doing a craft, engaging in meaningful conversation, reading a book, playing music, or simply holding the hand of an individual who is nearing the end of their life's journey. The only requirement is a loving heart and the desire to offer companionship and support to a hospice patient during a time that matters most. You will receive comprehensive training and on-going support from our volunteer coordinator. If this opportunity speaks to you please reach out to us at Gentiva hospice.
