Community Enhancement Collaboration (CEC) is a food pantry distributing food via walk-up or drive-thru, through our community partners we provide social services connection. Our mission is to promote health, civic, and social interests while improving community pride and encouraging residents' participation to help one another.

Volunteer tasks:

Social Services and Food Pantry Volunteers work and assist with the following activities: loading and unloading vans/trucks, sorting food items, breaking down boxes, crowd flow management and/or tearing down tables and tents, and maintaining the pantry area clean and organized. Help with set-up, greeting attendees, answering questions, and recruiting volunteers for various sign areas. Volunteers sort and package produce and other perishable items while packing the truck in preparation for distribution.

Sorting Donated Food and personal items every day, volunteers inspect, sort, and pack perishable and non-perishable food for distribution to direct feeding programs, and items may be packed for the Mobile Pantry truck. Office Assistance Volunteers are often needed to write thank-you notes, file, copy, stuff envelopes, process mail, do data entry, to helping at food drives and special events, and fold and stuff letters to assist.

We acknowledge all major holidays unless informed otherwise.

We ask ALL student volunteers to bring forms for signature with them, we do not keep ANY on hand. Volunteers should also print, sign, and bring this Waiver with them to the volunteer opportunity.

Upon completion of community service hours, the volunteer is required to submit a Verification Letter Request Form to HOB, in return the volunteer will receive a letter confirming and verifying their completed hours within a few weeks.

CEC serves 250-350 residents via weekly food distribution, walk-ins, and shut-ins.
Volunteers are encouraged to wear sunscreen and hats.

• No open-toe shoes
• No plastic bottles

A minimum of three (3) - to four (4) hours of community service hours each day the volunteer registers for this opportunity.

Volunteers are needed for the following days & times;

Mondays - 8 AM - 1 PM

Mondays - 1 PM - 6 PM

Tuesdays - 8 AM - 2 PM

Wednesdays - 8 AM - 1 PM

Fridays - 8 AM - 12 PM

Fridays - 12 PM - 4 PM
