Do you play an acoustic guitar or another instrument that can be softly played at the bedside of a hospice patient? If so, Suncrest Hospice is looking for you to join us as a Suncrest Hospice Music Volunteer!

Hospice is not a place, it is a system of care. Suncrest Hospice Sunshine Volunteers visit patients throughout our service area, which includes the City of Richmond, Chesterfield County, Midlothian, the City of Petersburg, Colonial Heights, Moseley and Henrico County. Visits are made at whatever location the patient calls home; the patient's house, an active senior apartment complex, assisted living facility, a nursing home or the memory unit of a nursing home.

As a Suncrest Hospice Music Volunteer, you will play music at your patient's bedside. We are looking for volunteers who can skillfully play music patients will recognize, to bring the patient's a feeling of contentment and joy.

Suncrest Hospice provides volunteer training. You will be required to take a TB test and a background check, all paid for by Suncrest Hospice.

Are you interested in this volunteer opportunity? Our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you and explain your next steps.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Suncrest Hospice Music Volunteer!
