About Our Organization: Our dedicated non-profit organization Dunk4Dreams offers basketball-centric programs and technology access to underserved youth, primarily focusing on minority communities. Our future basketball-attributed technology access program, scheduled to launch in Las Vegas, NV, in January 2024, represents our ceaseless commitment to acting as a catalyst for social change.

Job Overview: We are seeking an Instructional Design Specialist to join our team. With a strong background in course development and instructional design, the ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging and impactful course modules for youth aged 12-18.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and update instructional materials for the leadership program
  • Apply instructional design theories and practices to create diverse learning experiences
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine training needs of target audience
  • Incorporate tested instructional design theories and practices into course creation
  • Conduct thorough instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
  • Maintain detailed documentation of projects and course materials

Qualifications:

  • Experience in instructional design
  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Basic understanding of HTML and Flash programming
  • Excellent lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Proficiency in course development software and at least one Learning Management System is a plus
  • Strong visual design skills with the ability to storyboard

  • Exceptional organizational and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects efficiently
