Our community is in need of Food Distribution Volunteers, to help those in need. Get out in our community and help distribute fresh produce, healthy groceries, and staple pantry items at one of Redwood Empire Food Bank's food distribution sites.
Here's what you need to know:
All volunteers, including children, must register individually before their volunteer shift
For essential information about volunteering and answers to common questions from our volunteers about what to expect, we require all volunteers to read our Volunteer Handbook.
Respect, fairness, and kindness are essential. Negative remarks or harassment will not be tolerated. Civil Rights training is required for volunteers aged 18+
Expect to lift 15-35 lbs and be on your feet throughout the entire shift.
Speak to your Site Coordinator if you need food assistance.

Distribution Site Safety:
Please arrive at your volunteer shift on time and report to the Site Coordinator. Staff will go over safety and assign duties at the beginning of the shift.
This is a drive-thru and walk-thru distribution, so be prepared to load cars with food and hand out items to walking participants. We ask that you are able to help with all aspects of the food distribution, from set-up to clean-up.
Dress brightly or wear a safety vest, wear closed-toed shoes, bring water, and dress in layers.
Thank you for helping us provide nutritious food to 142,000 individuals. Our priority is to feed the community and offer a great volunteering experience. For inquiries, please contact (707) 523-7900. View our entire volunteer shift schedule here: https://volunteer.refb.org/need/

Mission Statement
Our mission is simple - to end hunger in our community - but how we accomplish our goal is surprisingly complicated.
Description
We Can’t Do It Without You
Volunteers are critical to ending hunger in our community. Every month we rely on their generous support, which would otherwise require the work of 45 full-time staff members.
Spend a two or three-hour shift with friends, family, and colleagues and help feed our neighbors in need. Build team spirit and company morale by volunteering with your business or organization.
Check out the many fun and rewarding ways to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of those facing hunger throughout our community in Sonoma, Mendocino, and Lake County.
