Could you translate English to Persian (Farsi) language? Could you help an international health charity with translating its basic documents to improve reach. Africa Health Organisation is an international health charity whose aim is to help people in Africa attaining & maintaining optimum health.
What will you be doing?
Role Description
We are seeking skilled Persian (Farsi) Translators to accurately interpret written pieces in Farsi from English while preserving their original meaning, format, and tone.
Your primary objective will be to deliver high-quality translated content from English to Farsi that aligns with our internal requirements and enables us to effectively engage a broader audience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reads through or listens to material in English language, ascertains understanding of the meaning and context of that material, use industry-specific terminology and converts it into Farsi language, making sure to preserve the original meaning and tone.
Uses highly specialised translation software to encourage efficiency and consistency.
Adheres to industry quality standards established by the Association of Translation Companies to ensure that all completed work follows legal and ethical obligations.
Translates a variety of documents including literary, script for videos, legal, research, technical, scientific, educational, and commercial materials.
Cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check quality of translation.
Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy.
Follow up with the President and internal team members to ensure translation meets our needs.
Network with field experts to stay current on new translation tools and practices.

What are we looking for?
Qualifications and skills
Qualification in Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, Farsi language, or similar field.
At least 1 year proven work experience as a translator, interpreter, or similar role.
Fluency in English and Arabic languages
Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
Good knowledge of content editing tools.
Familiarity with translation software.
Understanding of grammar.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to meet Deadlines, but we are flexible for volunteers.
Time-management skills
Additional certification in Linguistics is a plus.
