Make Birthday Cards for Seniors

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: DOROT, Inc

Bring birthday and holiday cheer to DOROT seniors with a handmade greeting card!

DOROT has a great need for birthday cards which we send to 3,000+ older adults each year.

Making a card is an easy, fun and important way to contribute to the work that DOROT does to decrease social isolation among seniors. Sometimes, a card from a DOROT volunteer is the only communication an older adult receives to acknowledge their special day. We also welcome cards for Thanksgiving, Rosh Hashanah and Passover holidays as well as Caring Cards which we can use on a variety of occasions.

Whether you’re looking for something to do on a rainy day at home with your family or planning an activity for your school, community or corporate group, making a card is a great way to help brighten someone’s day and is a fantastic group volunteer opportunity!

All cards should be returned to DOROT with a completed Cardmaking Project Form. Copy the following link into your search bar to find this: https://www.dorotusa.org/sites/default/files/2021-07/Cardmaking%20Project%20Form_7_2021_0.pdf

We also recommend that you look at the guidelines on our website to get card design tips and information on the types of supplies you will need.
