Rebuilding Together North Texas is seeking a self-motivated and versatile Board Liaison and Assistant to the Board President to help with a variety of tasks supporting our leadership team. This vital role will assist the Board President and serve as a point of contact for board-related activities. This position is primarily remote but we require that you live in the DFW area.
Key Responsibilities
* Board Coordination:
* Act as a liaison between the Board President and other board members, volunteers, and stakeholders.
* Assist in preparing agendas, reports, and materials for board meetings.
* Track action items, follow-ups, and deadlines to ensure timely progress.
* Administrative Support:
* Handle a range of tasks from scheduling meetings to organizing and managing files and communications.
* Support the president in maintaining records, correspondence, and key contacts.
* Strategic Support:
* Contribute to long-term planning and special initiatives led by the Board President.
* Provide insights and input on high-level projects or issues when needed.
* Community Engagement:
* Represent the Board President and the organization at events or meetings as required.
* Assist in building and maintaining relationships with community members, donors, and partners.
* Problem Solving:
* Proactively identify ways to streamline operations and improve efficiencies within board activities.
* Handle a variety of low to high-complexity tasks with a focus on detail and accuracy.
Skills & Qualifications
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative on tasks.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Prior experience in nonprofit management, governance, or leadership roles is highly preferred.
* Proficiency in office productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
* Adaptability to handle a mix of routine tasks and strategic responsibilities.
* Flexible schedule, ideally suited for a retiree or someone with significant availability.
* A collaborative and positive attitude with a passion for community service.
Time Commitment
* 2-5 hours per week, with flexibility based on tasks and priorities.
