ORGANIZATION: DOROT, Inc

GENuine Connections

REGISTRATION OPEN: DOROT’s GENuine Connections creates a free online space for high school students and older adults (65+) to build generational community through workshops on Zoom.

Engage in meaningful conversation and creative activities within small, consistent groups, leading to the discovery of new perspectives and joy. (All participants must commit to the entire workshop series. This is how we build community with authentic, positive connections.)

Every semester offers a variety of workshop topics to choose from:

  • Talk about the things you care about: Current Events
  • Find fun and recharge: Brain Games (our most popular workshop!) and The Golden Bachlorette and Beyond!
  • Get creative in a low stakes environment: Storytelling

This semester starts the week of October 28th and runs for 6 weeks. No previous experience is necessary, but you must attend a volunteer orientation before the semester begins.
