The Mission of the United Food Bank and Services is to provide assistance for the needy in moving them from a "state of hunger" and "impoverishment" to self-sufficiency, empowerment and self-reliance.
Our Vision is to stamp-out hunger in East Hillsborough County and raise the standard of living for the truly needy. Offering opportunities for self-improvement, education, job skills and enhancing life for individuals and families; thus, affecting change for the community.
We are looking for committed volunteers to join our family of volunteers!
Our facility houses food donations donated by various businesses, personal donations, and community food drives. Volunteer activities may include sorting and organizing produce, bakery and nonperishable food donations, sweeping, mopping, cleaning, stocking food pantry shelves, distributing food boxes to our clients or preparing grocery bags for families in need.

Description
The United Food Bank of Plant City is an approved United Way agency operating as an "emergency food bank" providing a hand-up, not a hand out. We are an emergency food bank with referral coming from the State of Florida, local schools and designiated local churches. We are open 5 days a week serving the needy and truly hungry.
