Aseracare Hospice of McKenzie, TN are seeking volunteers for our hospice patients. This opportunity is non-medical. We have several positions available. Choose from the following:

  • Patient Visit Companion
  • Caregiver's Respite Companion
  • Hospice Pen Pal (remote)
  • Virtual Patient Caller (remote)


Application Process includes:

  • Completed online application
  • Background screening
  • (3) References (must be able to verify via email)
  • 2 step TB screening for patient companion volunteers
  • Orientation and Training

Description

As a community-based agency, Aseracare Hospice is committed to providing proper care of the dying patient and their family, as well as education for the community regarding hospice. Hospice care is provided to any terminally ill patient regardless of inability to pay. Per the hospice benefit, our volunteer program provides social and emotional support to patients and families.
