AlterMed Research Foundation takes an integrative approach with health and medicine for human wellness, instead of reductionism of body parts. AlterMed Research Foundation is looking for a competent, dependable, trustworthy, and fun volunteer coordinator, who is passionate about evidence-based integrative / holistic medicine, and can take the Executive Director's vision / mission for the organization and make it come alive by defining volunteering roles from the ground up, recruiting volunteers so there is a constant stream of competent volunteers, providing organized volunteer position / transition plans / training & development / HR processes, and a fun volunteering environment. The volunteer coordinator will also need to work cooperatively with the leadership team / peers to fill volunteers so both programs and operations can achieve their goals.
AlterMed aims to prevent cancer and chronic illness & improve patient experience so all people can be well, leveraging evidence-based holistic / integrative medicine / lifestyle changes (epigenetics), and the power of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, genetics / genomics, and data science using Holistic / Lifestyle datasets.
The medical and healthcare industries are undergoing an unprecedented technological advancement with Artificial Intelligence, robotics, wearables, big data / genomics, and other -omics etc. Different healthcare tools / modalities can be helpful at different times since everyone is unique.
We are looking for a volunteer coordinator, who has non-profit, leadership, and team-building experience and skills to fulfill its mission and take it to the next level of operational excellence with volunteer support.
The ideal candidate must have a strong background in volunteer management and HR experience.
The mission of AlterMed Research Foundation is to be a change agent, through education, patient access, research to achieve the full integration of evidence-based complementary and alternative medicine into conventional healthcare so all people can enjoy optimum wellness. AlterMed plans to continue in 3 areas: (1) Education (e.g. Colorado Integrative Medicine Conference), (2) Research (funding quality integrative medicine research at universities), and (3) Patient Access of personalized and evidence-based integrative / holistic medicine.
This candidate must have a clean personal financial credit history and pass both credit and background checks for this opportunity. This candidate must also be a US citizen or a legal permanent US resident.
