About Our Organization: We are a devoted non-profit organization that provides basketball-focused programs and technology access to underserved youth, primarily in minority communities. Our forthcoming basketball-focused technology access program launching in Las Vegas, NV, in January 2024, represents our commitment to creating positive change in our society.

Job Description:

We seek a passionate Volunteer as a Director of Volunteer Management to oversee all aspects of our volunteers. In this role, you will be responsible for onboarding, training, and supporting our volunteers, ensuring they are well-equipped to contribute to our mission effectively. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on leadership experience and make a positive impact within our nonprofit organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive volunteer management strategies to align with our organizational goals.
  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, training, and support of all volunteers.
  • Monitor and evaluate volunteer activities and performance.
  • Foster volunteer engagement, satisfaction, and retention through regular communication and recognition initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their volunteer needs and ensure appropriate volunteer placement.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and organizational policies relating to volunteer participation.
  • Act as the main point of contact for volunteers, promptly addressing their queries and concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in human resource management, volunteer management or a related role in the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire volunteers.
  • Passionate dedication to our organization's mission.
