About Our Organization: We are a devoted non-profit organization that provides basketball-focused programs and technology access to underserved youth, primarily in minority communities. Our forthcoming basketball-focused technology access program launching in Las Vegas, NV, in January 2024, represents our commitment to creating positive change in our society.

Job Description:

Our nonprofit organization seeks a dedicated Director of Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement. This role is pivotal in attracting, recruiting, and retaining volunteers to support our organization's various initiatives and programs. This is an opportunity to significantly impact, grow your leadership skills, and contribute meaningfully to our mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective volunteer recruitment strategies that align with our organization's mission and goals.
  • Manage volunteer onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Foster engagement and ongoing relationships with volunteers through regular communication, recognition programs, and events.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align volunteer resources with organizational needs.
  • Monitor and report on volunteer satisfaction and feedback to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations pertaining to volunteer involvement.
  • Oversee the creation and dissemination of materials that increase our visibility and volunteer involvement.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with volunteer management or recruitment, preferably in a non-profit setting.
  • Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate volunteers.
  • Passionate about our organization's cause and mission.
