Do you have an engineering type of mindset? Are you good at problem solving and fixing things?
VNA Health is in need of volunteers that can fix Durable Medical Equipment for our patients (wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, shower bench, or other assistive devices).
VNA Health is a leading nonprofit provider of comprehensive in-home healthcare, helping patients and their families ... live well at home ... wherever they reside and call home.
The Loan Closet has an assortment of durable medical equipment (wheelchair, walker, crutches, shower bench, or other assistive device) ready to lend to Santa Barbara County residents.
The Loan Closet, owned and operated by VNA Health, has served Santa Barbara County since 1908 and is the exact opposite of most healthcare hassles. The warm and welcoming staff help residents with free short-term loans of basic medical equipment such as wheelchairs, crutches, knee scooters, walkers, shower seats, and more. As a free community service, the Loan Closet is open for anyone residing in Santa Barbara County.
The Loan Closet is the only community resource in Santa Barbara County offering free short-term loans of basic medical equipment. Owned and operated by VNA Health, the Loan Closet has been in serving the County since the founding of VNA Health in 1908. Today the Loan Closet serves more than 4,000 residents each year, and is completely supported through private donations and contributions, often from people who have benefited from the Loan Closet.

Description
Volunteers are vital at VNA Health.
Thanks to the invaluable support of volunteers, VNA Health has been able to better serve our communities for nearly 115 years. Whether helping a hospice patient through a hard day or offering administrative assistance for staff or greeting guests at a special event, our VNA Volunteers make a difference.
All of our volunteers are carefully screened and are required to complete volunteer training. An individualized, self-study training option is available.
To learn more about being an Administrative Volunteer, Trained Hospice Volunteer, or join our Veteran to Veteran Program, please contact Lucia Herrera at 805.690.6245 or email lucia.herrera@vna.health.
