We would love to talk to you about an exciting volunteer opportunity! The Western NY Affiliate for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) is looking for PurpleStride Committee Members.

In this role, you will support our local fundraising walk, PurpleStride Western NY. You will be part of a committee in charge of executing a positive and memorable experience for participants. The ideal volunteer for this role has great project management skills and a passion for community!

PanCAN volunteers raise funds and awareness year-round to support research and clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy, and community engagement work. Our volunteers support us in a number of capacities, including social media, public awareness campaigns, fundraising, event planning, and government advocacy. The opportunities are endless and we can find a role that is perfect for you.

We need you because pancreatic cancer has the highest mortality rate of all major cancers; the five-year survival rate is only 13%. It is currently the third leading cause of all cancer-related death in the US. We need people like you to help us create a world where all patients with pancreatic cancer will thrive.
