The journey of grief can be a lonely road to walk alone.
We are seeking volunteers to make check-in calls to families who have had a loved one die recently. After a patient that we care for dies, AccentCare Hospice of Meridian offers support to their family and loved ones for at least 13 months following.
We do this in hopes to ease the pain they experience as they walk along their path of grief.
Bereavement Check-In Call Volunteers support the grief needs of low-risk family members, friends, and members of the community. Training is provided.
Qualifying applicants are U.S. Citizens that are 15 years of age or older and able to pass a health screen, background check, and drug test.
Notice: Our volunteer opportunities require in-person completion of some hiring modules and training during the onboarding process. Applicants should consider this requirement upon application and be able to accommodate.
Other Volunteer Opportunities include:
- Direct Patient Care
- Caregiver Relief
- Office Support
- Pet Therapy
- Vigil Volunteer
- and more!
