- We are an important and recognized non-profit in the Dallas area and our efforts result in critical home repairs for low income homeowners. We are looking for new but experienced board members who bring a wide network of potential donors/sponsors. Experience with business development is a current need. We are interested in expanding our network into the well-loved, Dallas professional sports zones (football, hockey, basketball, cricket) so those connections are a strong plus. We meet once per month on the 4th Wednesday and currently our meetings are held in Plano, Texas but remote attendance will be considered. The ideal candidate will also have non-profit experience or at least exposure.
- we are a working board, meaning we all take on important development and fundraising tasks. You must have a very high Say/Do ratio to thrive on our board
- you are expected to make or find financial contributions of at least $5K per year.
- you must be comfortable talking to our sponsors and donors and cultivating those relationships. As well, you must be comfortable sharing our stories and asking for higher levels of commitments.
Besides board meetings, you will be asked to be on 2 committees. You will also be expected to be at all of our events and bring potential new donors. board membership packet will be provided that lists all of the commitments for board members.
We do have some fun, too!
