Join Million Little in transforming lives and healing trauma through the power of creativity! This mission takes a collaborative effort, and we could not do it without our dedicated Volunteers. Event Volunteers join Million Little Facilitators in bringing art-making into the community.

Join us one day each month to bring our art project Million Little Canvases to youth and families in Pacoima! Dates are:

  • Fri, 10/25
  • Sat 11/23
  • Thurs 12/12


Spanish-speaking bilingual volunteers are encouraged to apply

At ML's Day of Creativity, you will

-help ML staff set up art supplies and prize table for 200-400 participants
-welcome children and families warmly
-support participants in accessing paint supplies to create their canvas creations
-refill water cups, clean brushes as needed
-encourage young artists to create whatever is in their imagination!
-help ML staff manage prize table so all youth walk away with a gift
-staff auxiliary areas (bubble machine, game stations, etc.) as needed
-help ML staff pack up supplies at program site

Million Little is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that empowers and supports the healing process of children and their families who have experienced trauma through the power of creativity. Incarcerated teens, foster youth, those in poverty and those suffering from violence/adversity are all part of the population that Million Little serves.

Description

Million Little delivers therapeutic arts programming, youth resources, educational workshops and trainings as a means to support the healthy social and emotional development and healing process of at-risk children and families in Los Angeles County and beyond.

  • Orientation or Training
  • Volunteers work one Saturday each month from 8:45am-12:15pm. Weekday events are in the afternoon/evenings.
  • Volunteers with Spanish proficiency are highly encouraged to apply!
