Our dedicated volunteers offer valuable support to patients and families facing terminal illnesses. Hospice volunteers do not require any medical background and do not engage in medical or personal hygiene tasks. Volunteers provide support in various ways, such as companionship, tuck-in calls, and caregiver relief.
Whatever your passion or interest, there is a meaningful role for you as a volunteer with Amedisys Hospice. Our volunteers create their own schedule and typically commit 2 hours per week.

From direct contact with patients to providing clerical support, the volunteer is an important part of our hospice care team. As a Hospice volunteer and as an important part of our Hospice Care Team, you can help improve the quality of life of our Patients, as well as their family and caregivers.
