Lunch Cashier
ORGANIZATION: CORTLAND COUNTY OFFICE FOR AGING VOLUNTEER ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM

Volunteers will serve as cashiers as employees of the County Office Building buy lunches from the central kitchen in the County Office Building. Volunteers must be able to compute simple math (calculator is provided) and use a simple cash box. All prices are in whole dollars. It is not a fast-paced job, but the flow of customers comes at a comfortable level to keep up. Volunteers can serve alone or choose to work in pairs.

The Cortland County Office for Aging's Volunteer Engagement Program provides opportunities for people age 18 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. Volunteers contribute by serving in various roles within the agency, helping to meet critical community needs. Our Volunteer Program offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. Our Volunteer Program matches the personal interests and skills of community members with available and needed volunteer jobs. On-the-job training/orientation will be provided related to each individual volunteer job.
