Do you want to make a difference in your community?

Young people are more at risk of dropping out of high school, drug use, entering the juvenile justice system now more than ever and we need your help to make a positive change in one life.

As a mentor, you provide support and advocacy for your mentee - if you have the passion to walk with our youth towards success, SIGN UP TODAY!

This is an IN PERSON mentoring opportunity and you could be matched with a youth anywhere near in the East Bay (Fremont, Oakland, up through Richmond). You will be paired with a mentee near you who is the best match for your skills and interests.

IN PERSON mentoring requires mentors to spend 1-2 hours a week with their mentee. This can include any range of activities that suit you and your mentee. For example: homework help, outdoor play, museum visits, crafts, etc.

Thank you for considering signing up to be a mentor and helping change the life of a youth in your community!

Description

The Be A Mentor Program pairs caring adult volunteers from the community with youth in one-to-one relationships. Mentors give of their time to be a friend, answering questions, and providing guidance. Mentors come from a variety of backgrounds and occupations and volunteer their personal time to be a caring friend to a youth. They serve as a role model, advocate, and resource.
