Would you like to make a difference in the life of a caregiver? We need volunteers to delivery Memory Bears to families that have had a loved one pass away.
These bears are made from their family members clothing and sewn into a unique individual bear, just for them.
Our wonderful volunteer sewers do some amazing work but we need a caring volunteer to delivery them.
You can make your own schedule and time that you put in. To see the joy that these family gets, from receiving that bear made, from their loved ones clothing, is priceless. You will get to see and feel that joy and make someone's day.

VITAS Healthcare integrates volunteers into the hospice team by actively recruiting, training, supporting and creatively utilizing volunteers to meet patient and family needs. Description
Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare, providing friendly, non-medical patient and family care and offering support services in our office. VITAS Healthcare is looking for volunteers who are able to share their time with hospice patients living at home, nursing homes or ALF. Hospice volunteers give their time to terminally ill patients and their caregivers during a critical time. In orientation classes they are trained in listening skills, family dynamics and the right words to say to patients and their loved ones at the end of life.
