Development Alert is running a campaign on GivenGain aimed at raising funds to provide lunch for rural school going children of St. Benard Mwenge Primary School. Campaign Link: https://www.givengain.com/campaign/give-rural-school-child-a-meal. Development Alert is therefore looking for volunteers and well-wisher willing to support this cause by raising funds for this noble campaign. This is NOT paid position.
VOLUNTEER FUNDRAISER ROLE:
The Volunteer will ensure that campaign is effective by performing the following roles;
- Raise funds for the campaign
- Sharing the campaign links with wider audience through different channels but not limited to social media.
- Reach to Potential Donors to support the campaign
- Design promotional materials and increase awareness of the organizations work, goals, and financial needs.
- Organize and manage online events to promote the fundraising drive
- Identify and implement fundraising ideas to raise project funds
- Establish network and Recruit Donors
BENEFITS:
Upon successful completion of task (s) of raising funds, the volunteer will;
- Be awarded a Certificate
- Become a member of the Organization's Global Community

Description
Development Alert is a registered Not-for-Profit, Nongovernmental Organization operating in Uganda. Development Alert is involved in Empowering Vulnerable and Poor communities on Livelihoods Improvement and Environmental wellbeing. Founded in 2019, Development Alert is the 2024 Award Winner of the Most Dedicated Local Community-Based Support Organization-Uganda by UK’s based Publisher Acquisition International- https://www.acquisition-international.com/winners/development-alert/.

AREA OF FOCUS
1) Education (sponsorship, supply of scholastic materials, promoting literacy, construction of school infrastructure among others).
2) Promoting access to clean and safe water.
3) Economic Empowerment.
4) Promoting Environmental conservation initiatives.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Drilled a Community Borehole, supported over 634 needy school going children, Supplied Nine (9) Brand New Sewing Machines and startup Fabrics. Trained Fifteen (15) young people in life-skills, 10 elderly people, provided 400 school children with lunch, supported 50 members of Kisia Village Savings and Loans Association with startup funding and planted over 7000 trees in partnership with Uganda Wildlife Society.
