Summer Camp Internship 2024

Background: Since 2014, MVP360 has been running camps for military kids at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ. Fast forward to 2023, we are proud to announce that we are the first organization selected to run Flag Football Summer Camps for all Air Force installations across the United States and abroad! We will run 5 camps at 4 military installations in 2023 and will be expanding to 14-20 locations in 2024. Although our first assignment is to provide the USAF with Flag Football camps, our goal is to add other sports such as basketball, baseball, softball and more! We are looking forward to bringing this concept to USAF installations across the world!

Opportunity: We are looking for student-athletes with the ability to lead youth ages 8-17 in activities related to sports and recreation. While working with us, you will learn from experienced coaches, develop, and implement sports specific teaching guides, and coordinate administrative details related to the sports camps. Our Interns will work closely with the MVP360 Travel Team. The ideal candidate is motivated, high-energy, organized and operations minded. Possesses the ability to create a high-quality and unforgettable experiences for the participants.

Projected Camp Travel Timeframe: June 01 to September 31, 2024 (Camp assignments are based on availability)

Location(s): Military installations across the United States and some Overseas

*Working Days/Hours per camp: 7 days- Sun (travel) M-F (Camps) Sunday (travel).

*Camp Day hours: 8am-1:30pm (Subject to change when in the best interest of military installations)

Internship Training Includes:

  • Planning, coordinating, and managing recreational events.
  • Assisting in the process of staffing camps by identifying like-minded individuals who may be interested.
  • Business to Business and Business to Consumer strategy sessions with our leadership team.
  • Executing and improving our sports-specific sessions and initiatives.
  • Sports Marketing and Branding.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Camp Director.

Qualifications/Requirements: Enrolled in or recently finished a degree at 2- or 4- year accredited college or university (3rd and 4th year students preferred)

  • Hardworking and dedicated to the task at hand; comfortable in a busy indoor/outdoor environment.
  • Confidence in ability to execute projects, problem solve as needed and develop creative solutions to obstacles.
  • Comfortable with technology, email, social media.
  • Upbeat, outgoing, and positive personality that fits with our team.
  • Interest in sports, athletics, events, and marketing.
  • Clean driving record and Current and up-to-date driver’s license.
  • Currently plays, played, or have extensive sport-specific and/or general knowledge of athletics.
  • Passport is a plus but not required at this time.
  • Clear all local, state, and federal Criminal and Child Abuse Background checks.
