Michele’s Rescue is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Adoption Coordinator. If you have a deep love for animals and a strong commitment to helping finding them loving forever homes, this is an exciting opportunity for you to make a difference in the lives of animals in need.
Time Requirement:
Mon-Fri with some Saturday am needs. Provides a significant amount of flexibility but also requires an element of traditional business office hour needs for phone calls to veterinarian offices.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the feline adoption process, including reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and assessing prospective adopters' suitability. - Match animals with potential adopters based on compatibility, taking into consideration the animals' needs and the adopters' preferences. - Conduct adoption counseling sessions, providing guidance and information to potential adopters on responsible pet ownership, specific animal requirements, and behavior. - Collaborate with fosters and volunteers when approved applicants are ready for setting up meet & greets by communicating adopters name and…

Mission Statement

Michele’s Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit companion animal rescue located in Grand Rapids, Michigan which was started in 1997. We are a no kill rescue that takes in and adopts out animals from all over the country. Most of the animals we take in are in line to be "put-down" and need rescues like ours to find them a happy and loving home.

Description

Michele's Rescue specializes in Companion Animals. Mostly cats and dogs. We also have spaces inside the Cattery of PetSmart (Kentwood) through a Partnership with PetSmart Charities and we populate the Cat Room for the Happy Cat Cafe in Downtown Grand Rapids.
