Please visit the new page to apply.
Bring your registered furry companion to help patients with comfort towards the end of their life. The Pet Therapy Volunteer serves as an additional support to patients, families, and caregivers by making friendly visits with his/her certified therapy animal. Visits may occur in the patient's home or in a professional care setting (subject to the rules of the facility).
Both the Volunteer and certified therapy animal provide comfort, companionship, and a welcome distraction from the illness.

Mission Statement
Come create a friendship and show love and companionship to someone nearing their end of life! Volunteers make a difference by showing a hospice patient they aren't alone and helping them along the journey by listening to their stories, doing arts and crafts, music, singing, reading, the list goes on and on! The volunteer process is quick and easy and I am there to guide you the whole way! At Gentiva, we believe every day is an opportunity to make care more personal and life more comfortable. That’s why we offer personal care, palliative care and hospice to give people the care they need with dignity, grace, and love.
