We rely on a steady stream of free, used bicycles coming into our organization. There are many wonderful opportunities to acquire free bicycles. This is where we need you. We need you to find those bikes and collect them up. Once you have a few, we can come pick them up. A few great resources for finding free bikes are Facebook Marketplace, FreeCycle, BuyNothing, and many more. If you like driving around, drive around housing developments and you will find bicycles thrown away at the curb. This is a great opportunity to be a treasure hunter!

Second Wind Bicycles is on a mission to bring the transformative power of bicycles to those who need it most - financially at-risk families, refugees, individuals in recovery, and those struggling with homelessness. Despite the prevalence of bikes, these groups are often left without access to reliable transportation. That's why we're dedicated to finding, fixing, and distributing bikes with compassion and generosity.
Description
Founded in 2021, Second Wind Bicycles is a 501c3 non-profit. We started by supplying bikes to a homeless organization and as we expanded our reach, we noticed a lack of bicycle access for those in need.
With this need in mind, we took action to fill the gap. Our dedicated group of volunteers generously give their time and skills to make a positive impact on others' lives. We are constantly inspired as we witness how God works through our organization to uplift and empower each other.
