We are looking for an experienced copy editor to review educational and inspirational blog posts before publication on our website, familyaware.org. The volunteer will edit 1-2 blog posts per month. Families for Depression Awareness continues to be the premier national organization specializing in practical education and action-based training for family caregivers whose loved ones are dealing with a mood disorder. Our mission is to help families recognize, address, and cope with depression and bipolar disorder to get people well and prevent suicides. Through nationwide webinars, online tools, publications, and in-person workshops in Massachusetts we provide up-to-date and relevant education, training, and support that specifically meet the needs of families. Our programs aid participants in recognizing depression in themselves and others and getting help so that no one suffers alone with untreated depression.
