Are you looking to help girls unleash their starpower? Girls on the Run Greater Charlotte is looking for volunteers to serve as coaches to lead our girls across the finish line. Our program season runs for 10-weeks throughout the school year and ends with a end of season 5K to celebrate the girls completion of the season. Each week coaches will meet with their team to coach them through the lessons built into our curriculum and all materials are provided for coaches to complete each lesson.
We serve Cabarrus, Gaston, Cleveland, Mecklenburg and Catawba; so please check out our website to see if we are serving at a site near you.

We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
Description
At Girls on the Run we inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.

REQUIREMENTS
- Background Check
- Must be at least 18
- Orientation or Training
- You can commit to being a fulltime coach, meaning you would attend practices twice a week for your assigned team. Or you can be a part-time coach, and you would attend one practice a week at your preference of day.
- Coaches will be required to attend our National Coach Training. It is about 4 hours long and we offer several trainings before the season begins. Once coaches have attended training they do not need need to be trained again for future seasons.
