The purpose of a DE&I committee is to help establish a supportive and welcoming environment in which volunteers and staff of all backgrounds and demographic characteristics can work together. The primary role of this committee to assure that the community at Defense of Democracy accurately reflects the individuals who we are advocating for including people of color, individuals with disabilities, peoples of a variety of religions and cultures, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

We advocate for legislators, educators, and administrators who will work to maintain communities as well as a public education system that supports and enhances our shared experiences regardless of religious beliefs, cultural background, or sexual orientation across the United States.
