Interested in teaching? Want to connect with the community? Here at Community Education Partnerships you can do both!
Learning changes lives and futures. Share your love of learning by joining Community Education Partnerships’ (CEP) caring team of volunteer tutors. CEP provides tutoring and mentoring to pre-K to 12th grade students experiencing homelessness. CEP Tutors are a consistent and caring presence in the life of our students, fostering a deep love of learning and ensuring that they are set up for academic success.
We are specifically looking for tutors that are available to help our students in South Berkeley for a homework club.
Small group tutors are needed in Berkeley!
- Flexible schedules and locations
- Training and ongoing support provided
- Minimum age 16. Minors must have an adult supporter who will supervise tutoring.
Safety Information: Social distancing, masks, and enhanced hygiene measures are required. All volunteers and students must be fully vaccinated. TB test required. All volunteers must also complete a two-hour Mandated Reporter Training.

Mission Statement
The mission of Community Education Partnerships (CEP) is to increase the learning opportunities and enhance the academic achievement of students experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity in the Bay Area.
Description
The primary function of CEP is to recruit and train volunteers to provide high-quality academic tutoring for children experiencing housing insecurity in the pre-kindergarten - 12th grade school system. Volunteers get matched with a student with whom they meet once per week, typically at a shelter or transitional home.
