Description
Nest of Joy is a registered not for profit organisation that actively empowers the most vulnerable of individuals so that they can live with greater independence, dignity and freedom from poverty, disease, and hunger. Using a hands approach with help from volunteers, community members and religious leaders, we are able to create positive change through provision of education to disadvantaged children and other forms of support to communities with focus on women and orphan headed households in urban and rural Uganda. As a volunteer, you can teach a class, play sports or read with children at our primary school or share your life skills at our skills center all while experiencing true African Culture.

Evenings, weekends and some weekdays are free time for you to enjoy Uganda's unique hospitality and natural beauty. You can visit the beach in Entebbe, Ssese islands, lake Bunyonyi for birders go on safari in the many game parks, do white water rafting on the Nile, see endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi...and much more!
